Lara McCoy Roslof received her M.A. in History from Miami in 2004–her thesis focused on the transformation of the Orthodox Church after 1991. She is now the Executive Editor for the Western Hemisphere at Russia Beyond the Headlines. Based in Moscow, where she lives with her family, she is currently attending the Sochi Olympic games and filed this report for RBTH:
