Karen Dawisha, Havighurst Chair in Political Science and Director of the Havighurst Center for Russian and Post-Soviet Studies at Miami, delivered a lecture on April 28 on generational change in Soviet Studies. Dawisha used her experiences in the field to offer useful responses to the critique that Soviet Studies somehow “failed” to predict the USSR collapse in 1991. You can listen to the lecture here:
