Between Reform and Revolution: Islam in Early Soviet Central Asia

On February 24, 2014, Adeeb Khalid (Department of History, Carleton College), spoke at the Havighurst Center about his new research.  His talk focused on Central Asia in the early Soviet Union and how debates about Islam shaped the history of the region between 1917 and 1932.
