Friday, November 8, 2019, is the third National First-Generation College Celebration, and Miami University is participating for the first time. A series of activities are planned throughout the day, including activities at the seal/hub from 9:30 am – 1:30 pm and a reception at Lewis Place from 4:00 – 6:00 pm. All are welcome. The purpose of these events is to celebrate the contributions that First-Gen students (and faculty and staff) make to our community.  

In addition, Psychology will have pizza and conversation from 11 am – 1pm on November 8 in the PSYC Atrium and in PSYC 134 (private space for conversation, not available until 11:30 am.) to celebrate and support first-generation students, staff, and faculty in Psychology. The event will be advertised in the building, but please share this information with your classes and colleagues as well.
