A Career Day for English Majors including creative writing majors
Join the Department of English and the Center for Career Exploration and Success (CCES) for Spill the Tea: English Edition, an afternoon of career-development workshops followed by an alumni panel, on Tuesday, April 9 in Shriver’s Heritage Room. There will be prizes, swag, and delicious food!
This career event is open to students from all majors and minors, particularly those in the humanities. It’s an opportunity to work on networking skills while exploring employment opportunities in multiple different industries
Event Schedule:
1:15 – 2:35 p.m., 2:50 – 4:10 p.m. – Student Workshops
The first two segments of Spill the Tea: English Edition will consist of workshops for students with a Career Advisor from CCES.
4:25 – 5:45 p.m. – Alumni Panel
Six alumni with English degrees will describe how their majors and/or minors prepared them for success in a variety of different fields and careers post-graduation, and how current students pursuing humanities majors and minors at Miami University can set themselves up for success.
