Become a part of the long standing tradition of toasted rolls at Miami. These sugared rolls are really unlike anything else at Miami (Seriously. So. Good.) and if if you haven’t tried them yet, you can still get them at Pulley Diner in the Armstrong Student Center.
Explore Campus
Soak up Miami’s beautiful campus. There are a ton of nature trails surrounding campus for students to enjoy. Take pictures at sunset near Cook Field or Academic quad. Trust us, you’ll miss those beautiful views when you can’t see them every day!
Have lunch with your favorite professor
Before you leave, thank your professor and go to lunch with them. You probably know at least a few staff or faculty members who really contributed to your learning or growth as a person. Like anyone else, they appreciate hearing when their hard work has made a difference for students. Plus, you never know what kind of advice or knowledge they might have to offer!
You know the legend: “If you kiss your true love under the Upham Hall Arch, you will marry and the bond will never be broken.” Put this legend to the test with your significant other before you leave campus!
Revisit your favorite freshman year spot
Eat at your favorite dining hall from first year and see if your favorite foods then are still your favorite now. Or visit your favorite spot uptown and take the time to appreciate the community’s locally owned and operated favorites. Bagel & Deli? Kofenya? You can’t go wrong with any of these great spots!
Attend a MAP event
This Saturday is the annual Spring Fest event from 1-5pm in Academic Quad. There will be food trucks with tons of free food, rides, inflatables, succulent planting. Take advantage of all these activities and receive one last free shirt!
Go rock climbing at the Rec
For all those years that you’ve gone to the Rec Center and said “I should really try that some day” – it’s time to do it! There’s no better time than the present; sign up for a class if you’re ready to check it off the list!
You’ve worked hard at Miami and now is your chance to celebrate your accomplishment. Put a creative or personal spin on your grad cap – it will help your family and friends in the graduation audience find you. And it’s a great photo-op!
We did a post with decoration ideas last year – check it out to get your creativity flowing!
Step on the Seal
Once you’ve finished all your exams, do what everyone else avoids at Miami: jump on the seal! (We just hope it doesn’t affect you if you’re headed to Graduate school!)
Take one last chance to have a photo shoot with all of the friends you have made the last 4 years! Take advantage of all the beautiful spots Miami has around campus such as the sign in front of Shideler or the Seal on Academic Quad. You could also bring your photo shoot uptown and snap a few photos at your favorite locations.
