Andrea Barone is a painter who approaches her work through interdisciplinary exploration. Barone was born in Ohio and completed her education at Miami University (BFA), SMFA Boston (Post-Bac), and SUNY Purchase (MFA). She currently lives and works in Maine.
Perception is elusive. I am interested in experiences that exist on the edge of understanding: visceral feelings; illusions; the transient environment of dreams. I am searching for what is real. I advocate for active seeing and for noticing.
