Why Should You Vote?

It it your right. It is your duty. It is your privilege. We live in a nation where many have fought tirelessly for our rights as American citizens to have our voices heard through voting. The United States depends on citizens to be engaged with their state and nation by exercising their right to vote. By casting a vote, you are showing support for the candidate that you believe will best represent our nation and with whom you believe will produce outcomes that improve communities and the lives of US citizens. Don’t let the fate of our nation fall just in the hands of others, your vote matters and will make a difference!

Unsure How to Vote?

Make sure you are registered before the deadline in the state that you wish to vote in. For Ohio, this deadline was October 11th. Check your state’s Board of Elections/Secretary of State website or find more information on Vote411.

*Deadlines and processes to register and vote vary state by state.

Visit the Long Distance Voter website that has links to registration, absentee ballot, and early voting information for all states.

Absentee Ballots can be requested, filled out, and sent in prior to the election for voters who cannot be present at the polls on election day. While voting is available in Oxford for registered voters, an absentee ballot may be filled out if you wish to vote on issues for your local county, outside of Butler County. Check the deadline for absentee ballots to be sent in, as it varies by state.
