Mail/Packages

Q: When ordering packages, do I put my residence hall or Shriver as the address?

A: Always use your residence hall address (the street address + the hall name and room number + Oxford, OH 45056). For Amazon packages, if there is an option to add a special instruction, write “Please deliver on campus to 113 Shriver Center (Mail and Package Center).

Q: How do you find your exact dorm address to ship things to it?

A: Check out Miami’s residence halls website and find your hall address!

Q: If you have a package set to deliver during break, what happens to that package?

A: During winter break and term, mail is forwarded to your home address.

Q: Where do you find your mail in the dorms? (Not packages).

A: Each residence hall has a mail room with mailboxes for each room. You should have received an email from the start of the semester with the code to your mailbox.

A: The fastest way is to take it to the Shriver Mail and Package Center and/or drop it in a blue collection box!

Q: What happens to packages if they are too big to fit in the mailboxes?

A: Regular mail (in envelopes) will be delivered to your hall. Packages will be delivered to Miami’s Mail and Package Center in Shriver Hall and generally placed in a locker. You’ll be notified to pick up within 24 hours. If it’s too large for the locker, they’ll hold it behind the customer service desk.

Q: If I ship something to campus and it’s there before I am, can I pick it up after I move in?

A: Yes! Don’t wait too long to pick it up, but yes, they will hold packages in the mail and package center (in Shriver) sent before move-in!

Q: Can I get stamps and envelopes on campus?

A: Yes! The Mail and Package Center in the lower level of Shriver Center does sell stamps and all kinds of envelopes!
