What Are We Thankful For This Year?
Thanksgiving season is the perfect time to slow down, look around, and appreciate the people, moments, and small joys that make life great. From late-night study sessions that somehow turn into core memories to the friendships built across residence halls, Miami is full of reasons to feel thankful.
Friends Who Feel Like Family
It’s clear that everlasting friendships have been built on this campus that will last a lifetime! From roommates who brighten tough days to classmates who turn study sessions into memories. Even with busy schedules, friendships built here truly shape the Miami experience.
Campus Life and Experiences
Late-night Armstrong runs. Big campus events like Mega Fair. Students shared how thankful they are for everyday experiences that make Miami unique. Being involved in student organizations, cheering on athletic teams, discovering new study spots, and enjoying the beauty of campus adds up to a semester full of special moments.
Family and Home Support
Even while living away from home, many students are grateful for the support of family and loved ones cheering them on. Whether it’s a quick check-in call or the excitement of heading home for break, those connections are what keep so many of us grounded throughout the school year.
The Small Joys
Sometimes gratitude comes in simple forms like a great cup of coffee, a walk on the trails, a beautiful Oxford sunset, a good meal with friends, or even a moment of alone time during a busy week. The little things have proven to have a big impact.
No matter where you spend the holiday, one thing is clear: there’s so much to be grateful for, even if it seems like something small. We wish you a safe, restful, and Happy Thanksgiving!
