As the semester kicks into high gear, you need fuel to be successful in the classroom and in your extracurriculars! A wave of new restaurants opened around Oxford during Winter Term and it’s about time you check out these five new places for your next meal!
One of Oxford’s newest additions is Tous Les Jours, an artisan bakery located next to Chipotle uptown! Walk in and serve yourself down the line of cases filled with an incredible assortment of freshly baked breads, pastries, and cakes! There are hand-crafted coffees, teas, smoothies, and more toward the back as well. The clean and aesthetic atmosphere is perfect for a Sunday morning breakfast or a mid-week study spot! Tous Les Jours is open every day 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
Recent graduate Jackson Trester and current senior Tyler Storer opened OxVegas Chicken across from the Uptown Parks last month. You’ll find a tasty selection of fried chicken combos, Texas toast, mac and cheese, fries, and a range of unique sauces for dipping on digital ordering kiosks right through the door. There is even a full-service bar serving customers 21 and older. This is a great fast and local option for crispy, tender chicken with good company! OxVegas Chicken is open Sunday-Tuesday Noon-Midnight and Wednesday-Saturday Noon-3 a.m.

Another recent Miami graduate, Gary Zhao, opened BT Chicken this past month across from UDF and to the right of Drop In Tea. As Oxford’s only Korean chicken restaurant, the menu offers nine flavors of chicken in addition to burgers, hot dogs, and sides such as dumplings and corn dogs. You’ll be immersed in a Korean street culture ambiance with neon signs, graphic posters, K-pop music, and classic dishes to savor. BT Chicken is open Sunday and Tuesday-Thursday Noon-9 p.m., Friday-Saturday Noon-Midnight, and closed on Mondays.
Indulge in a new local Mexican cuisine at Quesadilla Express down College Corner Pike! Create your own quesadilla from a wide range of proteins and pile on the toppings buffet style! Quick and friendly service in combination with the mouth-watering quesadillas and large seating area, makes this a great option for lunch and dinner. Quesadilla Express is open Sunday, Tuesday-Thursday, and Saturday 11 a.m.-9 p.m., Friday 11 a.m.- 9:30 p.m., and closed on Mondays.
Oxford added another tasty pizza option to its restaurant collection, Bello Pizza Studio! Located next to Graeter’s Ice Cream uptown, Bello Pizza Studio is the only wood fired Neapolitan pizzeria in the area offering specialty pizza combos, salad options, and savory bread sticks! The unique atmosphere features colorful art and stone wall detailing, and is perfect for a fun night out with friends and family! Bello Pizza Studio is open every day from 11 a.m.-11 p.m.
