Here’s a breakdown of five fantastic opportunities to consider, with upcoming deadlines so you can plan your applications!

1. SEAL Ambassador – Rolling Deadline

Do you enjoy Miami’s events and traditions? The SEAL (Student Engagement and Leadership) Ambassador role might be perfect for you. SEAL Ambassadors are the face of campus involvement, encouraging students to engage with Miami’s clubs, organizations, and events. 

As an ambassador, you’ll help others get connected while building valuable communication and event-planning skills yourself. Since this opportunity has a rolling deadline, apply early to secure a spot!

2. Resident Assistant (RA) – Applications Due Jan, 5, 2025

If you’re interested in supporting fellow students and building a strong, inclusive community in the residence halls, consider applying to be a Resident Assistant (RA). This role comes with great responsibility—and great perks. RAs are role models on campus, organizing events and providing resources for their residents. 3. Student Orientation Undergraduate Leader (SOUL) – Applications Due January 30, 2025

4. Scholar Leader Program – Applications Due February 9, 2025

The Scholar Leader Program is one of Miami’s most prestigious opportunities, offering selected students a unique living-learning experience focused on leadership and service. Scholar Leaders live in historic residence halls and engage in community service and leadership development activities. This program is open to sophomores and provides a tight-knit community of peers who are as dedicated to making a difference as you are. Plus, it comes with a scholarship!

5. HAWKS Peer Health Educators – Applications Due February 19, 202

If health and wellness are your passions, becoming a HAWKS Peer Health Educator could be a great fit. HAWKS Peer Health Educators promote healthy habits and educate peers on topics like mental health, nutrition, and sexual health. Through this program, you’ll receive training to create impactful programming and resources for Miami’s student body.

6. Mental Health Peer Educators – Applications Due February 19, 2025

Last but not least, becoming a Mental Health Peer Educator also makes a huge difference! These students receive training to help create awareness about mental health issues, reduce stigma, and provide resources to support mental well-being on campus.
