This week we finished our play through of T.I.M.E Stories that we started last week. This week we had realized that we were playing wrong last week and we continued not fully understand the rules of how to play correctly. Fortunately, we were able to adapt and just make our own rules while still enjoying the point of the game. We were also in a time crunch so in order to reach the end of the game we moved ourselves forward to where we have previously made it to before we failed the mission and ran out of time. We definitely struggled with the puzzles that were made to reach the end but with help we were able to “achieve success”.
Mentioned before, the hardest part about this game is just learning the rules and what each little piece and symbol meant. Also with the time crunch that we had, we had to adjust the rules to fit the time period that we had to play and we basically just cheated the game until we got back to where we were before failing on our first run. While we knew to take notes of things, we werent able to take notes of everything, and with the idea of continuing the game a week later there were some things that were forgotten or things that we just thought we wouldn’t need anymore, so the notes that we took were kind of useless in the end.
I feel like there was more leadership introduced for this week as some players remembered more than others and some understood the rules more than others. So with these players with extra knowledge, leadership was shown through the strategy that they were recommending, and kind of helping out where everyone should go to maximize efficiency and gain as much information as possible.
In the end, if you had more time to play this game, and had one fluid period where you didnt need to take a weeks break. I would definitely recommend learning the rules of this game first and then playing it because it was a fun escape room type game that could easily be enjoyed by a lot of people.
