We want to share an update on the website migration to a new content management system, Contentstack.
As we work with our implementation partner, Oodle, to migrate approximately 16,000 web pages, we’ve identified areas of our website’s templates, content, and functionality that need more development and testing. To ensure a successful transition, we are moving from a single launch date to a phased rollout of the new websites.
We plan to launch the first pages in Contentstack, beginning with 10 of the university’s top pages, including the homepage and primary navigation landing pages. Additional websites and sections will launch on a rolling basis as they are completed and ready.
What does this mean for current Cascade pages?
Please continue to submit website edits to the UCM Web Team. You can submit edits for any type of change. Requests don’t need to be limited to urgent updates. Please note that it may take a little longer to process requests during this time.
If you need a new website or are requesting a larger website project, please submit a new project request.
What happens next?
- Fall Semester
- The UCM web team and Oodle will continue refining and testing website templates and functionality in Contentstack.
- Content migration and quality assurance will continue across university websites.
- Rolling Site Launches
- As individual sites are ready to launch, UCM will work directly with the appropriate offices to review their pages for accuracy.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we complete this significant upgrade. Our goal is to make the transition as seamless as possible while ensuring Miami’s websites remain accurate and up to date. We have put several contingency plans in place to ensure a successful transition.
