Website CMS Transition Update

Contentstack logo

We’re excited to share an important update about Miami’s upcoming website migration to our new content management system, Contentstack, and what you can expect over the next several weeks.

Beginning July 15, our migration partner, Oodle, will take a snapshot of the website and begin migrating more than 16,000 webpages into Contentstack. The migration is expected to be completed sometime between August 10 and August 24.

Website Update Process During the Migration

Miami faculty, staff, and students can submit website update requests throughout the migration using the Web Change Request form. However, to help ensure a smooth transition, we ask that requests be limited to high-priority, time-sensitive updates that cannot wait until after the migration, such as:

  • Changes to important dates or deadlines
  • Updates affecting student enrollment, registration, or graduation
  • Critical corrections to inaccurate information
  • Other essential content that must be updated before the new website launches

Please do not email website update requests directly to individual UCM Web Team members during this time. Using the Web Change Request form allows us to track all changes made during the migration and ensure they are carried over into the new CMS.

What Happens Next?

Once the migration is complete, the new website will launch in Contentstack, and we will send a follow-up communication to let everyone know it’s done. The UCM Web Team will continue handling website update requests while we complete system setup, content cleanup, and user training. Expect longer response times as we are all getting used to a new content management system.

Post Launch Timeline

  • Early-mid August
    • All Cascade sites that have been moved to ContentStack will be launched
  • Late August – Early sept
    • UCM completes the new training

    • The UCM web team will make all content update requests via ticket during this period.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we complete this significant upgrade. Our goal is to make the transition as seamless as possible while ensuring Miami’s websites remain accurate and up to date. We have put several contingency plans in place to ensure a successful transition. If there continue to be questions, please feel free to reach out using the form linked here.
