A great field season

We wrapped up a great field season, hunting down male and female flowers of American persimmon (_Diospyros virginiana_), at selected sites throughout most of the range. Starting in mid-April, Dr. Ross sampled trees in TX, LA, and GA, and together we covered areas in TN, NC, KY, IN, OH, IL, and MO! These samples add a substantial collection to Dr. Ross’s current collection, and will help us address important questions in the biogeography and genetics of the Diospyros reproductive system.
