By Karla Garcia Cardenas —
After several semesters of being unable to hold large-scale events due to the pandemic, the Miami Regionals International Club was more than excited to host the 2022 International Fest.
Co-sponsors for the festival included the Center for Diversity and Inclusion, the English
Language Center, the Commerce Department, the Regional Student Government, the Muslim
Student Association, and the Association of Latino-American Students.
Apart from providing attendees with an enriching cultural experience, the International Fest
brought the Hamilton community together to celebrate diversity in a fun, educational, and
engaging way. The event featured numerous cultural artifacts and activities, as well as student-
made poster boards containing information about various countries. A photo booth, ping-pong
table, cornhole game, and henna station were also featured at the fest. Moreover, students and
faculty could enjoy various international foods like Chinese tea, Indian curry, Caribbean rice and
beans, Mexican cactus salad, and Afghan pastries.
The Miami Regionals cheerleading team also made an appearance at the festival by performing
the Redhawk fight song. In addition, an international songlist created by students was played
throughout the event to showcase music from around the world.

The International Club would like to thank everyone who participated and attended the 2022
International Festival. To learn more about the International Club and join the organization.
