Clare Sherman attends Miami University Regionals as an English Studies major. Her interest in writing for The Pulse stems from a passion for local events that foster community. Outside of writing, Clare teaches ballet and enjoys working with children.

Paige Auxier is an Integrated English Language Arts Education Major and Creative Writing Minor at Miami University’s Oxford campus. She hopes that through her work for The Pulse, she’ll be able to utilize her passion for writing in a way that’s meaningful to others, and that by immersing herself in new experiences throughout the community, she can break the limits of her comfort zone. Outside of reading and writing, she enjoys analyzing and consuming other forms of media and expression like movies, music, and fashion.

Tricia Cherry is an English Studies Major from Fairfield Ohio. Her passion is creative writing, and she is immensely respectful of both the genre of fiction and of creativity, believing that they each have an often overlooked power to heal and guide. This respect has instilled the belief that creators of any sort have a responsibility to both their craft and their audience to create quality work as often as possible. Creativity is nurtured by
new experiences and perspectives, and this is what Tricia has sought to gain from working as a Pulse writer.

Sara Sparling comes from Liberty Township, Ohio and attends Miami Regionals as a Cybersecurity & Networking major and Rhetoric & Writing minor. She is excited to write for The
Pulse to continue her love for creative writing and engaging with Miami’s community. When she is not writing, she enjoys reading, working with various technologies, playing with her two cats,
and working in the greenhouse at her local garden center.

Ally Duffy is a Psychological Science major who has a passion for writing, as can be seen within her minor in creative writing. With a dream of becoming a published fiction author, she has immersed herself in all things writing. Becoming a writing tutor in the Fall of 2025 has improved her knowledge of differing types of academic writing and the proofreading process. Working in the Regionals Tutoring and Learning Center as a writing tutor, and also a Pulse staff writer, has expanded her horizons, allowing her the chance to discover the joy in helping others in their writing, while improving her own.
