| Vision | Our vision is to make 3D object digitization and visualization accessible, accurate, and real-time for use in mixed reality applications. The project addresses the challenge of converting real-world objects into detailed, spatially aligned digital twins viewable through AR/VR devices. By developing a reliable capture-to-display pipeline, the team seeks to advance the practicality of spatial computing—transforming how users perceive, interact with, and share 3D content. |
| Mission | This project aims to create an end-to-end mixed reality (MR) system that captures real-world objects using depth cameras, reconstructs them into accurate 3D models, and renders them interactively on the Meta Quest 3 headset. The goal is to bridge physical and virtual spaces through efficient 3D capture, processing, and visualization—enabling users to view, manipulate, and align real-world objects in an immersive environment. |
