| We aim to create a two-sided self-checkout system, inspired by Kroger, to enable faster, easier
grocery shopping and efficient retail operations. Our goal is to deliver a reliable, user-friendly
product integrated with POS hardware by the end of the 2025 fall semester, earning stakeholder
approval. |
| MISSION

- Develop core features (barcode scanning, manual item entry, receipt printing) by
mid-December 2025.
- Integrate software with POS hardware, validated by grocery item testing by the final review.
- Design intuitive customer and cashier interfaces, targeting strong stakeholder
feedback.
- Produce modular code with documentation in GitLab for future enhancements.
