The Mission of CPAC
CPAC’s mission is to serve as the official voice and direct channel of communication between classified professionals and the institution’s administration, supporting the institution’s overall mission and representing staff interests through open communication, professional development, and participation in college governance.
The Goals of CPAC
- Communication & Advocacy: Act as the official liaison to the Administration, improving the communication channel by establishing a clear process for staff input and ensuring timely, formal feedback on concerns, while actively advocating for competitive compensation and beneficial policies.
- Policy & Governance Input: Actively facilitate dedicated dialogue with university officials on key staff priorities (like benefits/compensation) in yearly meetings and ensure representation in shared governance processes.
- Professional Development & Engagement: Increase staff awareness and participation by promoting opportunities for continuing education, professional growth, and leadership development, with specific objectives such as increasing conference attendance by 10%.
- Visibility & Inclusive Community: Maintain a high-visibility presence across university events (like the annual Benefits Fair) and online (website updates), while fostering a culture of respect, dignity, and inclusion among all members of thecampus community.
