How did you reach your current position?
After graduating from Miami University, my first job was in logistics. I spent a total of eight years in sales and operations in the 3PL/logistics space. I also spent many years coaching high school and college football. In 2017, I transitioned to recruiting for a light industrial staffing company. Fast forward six years, and I’m back in logistics as a Talent Acquisition Manager for Bridge Logistics, a company that recruits heavily at Miami.
How did Miami University set you up for success in your career?
The relationships I developed at Miami with faculty, staff, and peers helped me get to where I am today. While I was in college, I didn’t truly understand the value of relationship building. Now, it has come full circle. Being a member of the football team also gave me a core foundation for personal and professional development that I still use today and will always use.
What is your best piece of career advice for current college students?
Connect with as many people as possible, join organizations, and always be intentional with your curiosity. Asking questions and having conversations with people will open many doors.
