Enterprise Holdings, a Miami University Career Partner, is a total transportation leader with a network that spans more than 90 countries. Below, Talent Acquisition Manager Jake Osborne gives advice for students leading up to Miami’s Spring Career and Internship Fairs.

What skills do you seek in candidates for your full-time roles and internships?

When recruiting applicants for our Management Trainee program and internships, we look for the following skills: customer service, sales, leadership, and problem-solving experience. Candidates who display coachability, resiliency, and work ethic always stand out.

What advice would you give a student during an interview?

Don’t undervalue your experiences during the interview process. Highlight your accomplishments, whether they’re academic, athletic, from previous work experience or from volunteer opportunities. Be sure to paint a complete picture when answering interview questions. Also, always research the company you’re interviewing with beforehand.

What have you observed that sets Miami University candidates apart from others?

In my experience, Miami students and graduates have a level of professionalism and an ability to effectively communicate that sets them apart from others.
