Game of the Week: T.I.M.E Stories Week 1

Miami University

As most games we’ve played in this class, this game was a little harder to understand at the beginning. Our team took some time to understand how best to play the game by reading through the rulebook and asking our professor how to navigate the first few rounds. As we moved forward and worked together to understand it, the mechanics became clearer and we worked together to progress.

I would liken this game to leadership in the ways that it allowed each team member to depend on the others to explain certain aspects of the game. In leadership, followers should be able to depend on each other or the leader in question to guide them through difficult or confusing situations. There were moments in the game where I asked questions to the professor or my team mates and they were able to explain and guide me through the next steps. This game involved a lot of cooperation as we had to work together to make decisions and progress.

This isn’t a party game, and would be most enjoyed with family or a really close group of friends, as it involves a lot of patience and consideration. It’s a game that cannot be rushed and must be properly thought through.
