Hefner Museum of Natural History

Located in Upham Hall, The Hefner Museum of Natural History uses exhibits, collections, specimens, and interactive programs to teach visitors of all ages about animal biodiversity, conservation, and ecology.

The Hefner Museum is open to the public 9 A.M. – 4 P.M. Monday through Friday. It is CLOSED on Miami University Holidays.

Richard and Carole Cocks Art Museum (RCCAM)

The Art Museum is home to five art galleries of changing exhibitions and a permanent collection of over 17,500 artworks. The museum is accredited by the American Alliance of Museums (AAM) as a regional leader contributing to educational and cultural enrichment through the preservation, presentation, and public programming of diverse visual art of all forms.

Galleries at the Art Museum are open when Miami is in session during the Spring and Fall semesters (generally late August through mid December, and again late January through early June) 10 A.M.- 5 P.M.Tuesday through Friday, as well as Saturdaynoon-5 P.M.

Karl E. Limper Geology Museum

Located in Miami University’s Shideler Hall, the Geology Museum provides displays of quality geological specimens intended to help students and visitors better understand and learn about geological concepts. The Geology Museum contains hundreds of specimens as well as minerals, rocks, fossils, and meteorites from all over the world.

The Geology Museum is open 8:30am – 5:30pm Monday through Friday.

The McGuffey House and Museum

The McGuffey House and Museum is a National Historic Landmark that aims to collect, preserve, interpret, and exhibit materials relating to the life of William Holmes McGuffey, the McGuffey Eclectic Reader series, the history of Miami University, and the 19th century domestic life and architecture of Southwest Ohio.

McGuffey House and Museum is open 1pm – 5pm Thursday – Saturday. It is CLOSED on Miami University holidays and special events.
