Gratitude

Deanna Hay chose to make the most of her time at Miami with majors in International Studies and Media and Culture, and minors in Studio Art and French. Her video-based art titled “Gratitude” expresses deep emotion with a focus on memories. These memories, tied to objects, become even more meaningful as one experiences loss.

Hay explains, “The way in which we hold our experiences affects our growth and determines how we identify ourselves for the future. I aim to capture the impact left upon me not only by my aunt, but by my experience with her passing.”
