Palatable

Sammi Meyers, a sophomore majoring in Communication Design and minoring in Emerging Technology in Business and Design, uses unconventional materials to create meaning in her artwork.

“Palatable” is built from cut and painted paper plates, suggesting a relationship between nature and the food it creates for us. The rich, bold colors and detailed expression of natural food create a sense of wonder and vibrancy. Meyers, who has a love for outdoor adventures, explains that “naturally grown food is a wonder produced by our land that can be utilized in many ways.”
