VISION
The goal of our project is to see how AR and VR, specifically using the Oculus Quest 2, can make gaming more immersive and interactive. We’re building a system that collects sensor data from players while they’re using the headset, like where they’re looking and how they’re moving. After gathering that data, we’ll create a tool to replay and visualize the experience so someone else can watch it later. At the end, we’ll put everything together in a paper that walks through what we built, how we did it, and what we learned along the way. |
MISSION
Our mission is to design and build a system that records and replays user movement data on the Oculus Quest 2 to better understand how AR/VR technology can enhance gaming. To do this, we’ll create a background app that collects headset and controller position and rotation data during gameplay. Then we’ll develop a tool to visualize that data in a way that lets others view the experience. The final step is writing a paper that documents our development process, tools used, challenges faced, and the potential of using this type of data in gaming research or development. |
