During the Summer of 2020, two undergraduate students Ashutosh Pitkar (Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, Class of 2021) and Holden Rittenhouse-Starbuck (Chemical, Paper, and Biomedical Engineering, Class of 2022) created video literature reviews from journal articles they read on fluoropolymer composite materials used in tribological applications.
Project Goal: To create a short series of videos that would introduce this topic to an undergraduate engineering student with little prior exposure to tribology.
Means: Both students performed their literature reviews using the guide to engineering literature reviews developed by MME librarian Kristen Adams (for more info and access to the guide : https://libguides.lib.miamioh.edu/mechanical_manufacturing_engin/writing_citing)
After completing their literature review, each student summarized their findings into a series of powerpoint presentations. These presentations were recorded using Kalturra (R) software.
