What is a hijab and why do some Muslim women wear it? Are they forced to wear them or is it a choice? What does it feel like to wear one?
Celebrate World Hijab Day Wednesday, February 1. From 1 – 4 pm there will be an informational booth in the Armstrong Student Center where you can learn about the Muslim faith, the meaning of the hijab, and the harassment some Muslim women who choose to wear the hijab face. You can even try one on!
At 6:30 pm there will be a panel discussion in the MacMillan Great Room.
