Following the #move-in feed on Slack yesterday, it sounds like LOTS of first-year students were given a friendly helping hand from IT staff volunteers in the halls, in the tents, and online. Even President Crawford stopped by the Maple Street tent – he needed directions to South Quad.
Move-In by the #s:
- Em S. reported a grand total of 8334 Twitter impressions yesterday – way to go, Em!
- The Support Desk handled 196 calls, 112 in the student queue.
- Campus operators handled 230 calls.
- Pete F. reports that the #1 paper resource at the Maple Street Station was the dining hall hours

“I can’t believe how easy move in was today. The volunteers were awesome. There was an IT tech that even stopped by the room to see if they had questions and was very helpful. We got to hang with his roommates’ parents uptown and enjoyed our day stress free. Thanks Miami!!”
