Listening effectively is the key to effective communications. If you cannot listen effectively, communications break down and messages are easily misunderstood, resulting in much frustration between the sender and receiver of the message. Effective listening is a skill that can benefit you in all your relationships, it will improve your self-esteem and benefit your work skills. Effective listening is integral to good communications.

Good communications start with good listening. Ever find yourself drifting off when someone is talking to you? Then suddenly you realize they are waiting for a response from you and you have no idea what was just said? The How to Listen Effectively workshop will help you to find ways to listen to people, even when you are in the habit of drifting off. We will discuss barriers to effective listening, identify distractions that prevent us from hearing and practice effective listening.
