Access for All: Accessible Technology Symposium

On April 4, 2014 the 1st annual Access for All, Accessible Technology Symposium took place in King Library. This event was designed to build awareness, remove barriers and discuss current issues/trends in technology for people with disabilities. 
 
Many experts in the fields of accessible technology were on-hand to provide first-hand guidance to the approximately 75 people in attendance on a variety of of topics of interest including creating accessible PDF’s, captioning, universal design, building accessible content for the classroom, e-books, etc. The Accessible Technology Symposium was covered in a recent Journal News article as well.
