The Classified Personnel Advisory Committee (CPAC) met on Thursday, March 8, 2018. We welcomed a visiting guest to our meeting from UPAC, Nicole Byrd. Next week a CPAC representative will attend the UPAC meeting as a guest to help bridge the gap between the two committees.
Heather Bechtol gave her last update as she will no longer be the ex-officio to attend from HR. She announced that another HR Generalist will be attending in her place to give more staff involvement into the different committees. One other announcement that she gave is that Becky Dysart moved back to Staff Development and Marla Niebling joined Miami as the new Director of Employee/Labor Relations.
Updates were given by CPAC representatives on various University Committees, but most of the meeting was centered around SATSS Conference planning. Classified and AFSCME personnel mark your calendars to attend on May 24, 2018! It is an all day conference with refreshments and lunch provided. Job Enrichment points available to those who are eligible.
