| Vision | Making Miami students’ course planning easier by having a streamlined website showing all of the classes for their major. Also, having an intuitive system that allows students to easily tell what classes they’ve already taken, how many credit hours they currently have, and what classes they can take or need to take. |
| Mission | Our team will allow students to plan their academic semesters through a responsive web application with capabilities to select majors/minors, select courses for each semester, and validate that all requirements are met. The app will replace the current spreadsheet system, which is highly limited and will more effectively assist students in making informed decisions about registration. To ensure our goal is met, the team will apply modern UI/UX design principles, conduct proper testing, follow accessibility and Miami guidelines, and use a modular design for more convenient maintenance. We will prioritize replacing existing planning features and making improvements to the process along the way.
Note from the Client: Another primary objective for the instructor was to understand the team’s experience using AI. Teams were directed to use AI code generation as much as possible in order to collect data and feedback about their experience. |
