Self-driving Small Vehicle on Miami’s Sidewalks

CLIENT Jim Leonard, ECE
VISION Make a children’s electric vehicle (EV) drive autonomously using GPS and a raspberry pi camera.
MISSION Implement the EV using a non-neural net approach using gradients of the image for edge detection. Accuracy may be diminished and ability to generalize to new environments but offers quick output/light computation considering the Pi’s processor capacity.
