Along with nine occupational clusters, the Center for Career Exploration & Success continues to offer an option called “Students Still Exploring” for those students who need to further explore themselves and various career pathways before signing up for clusters in Handshake. Many students are undecided about their future career path. Making a decision requires an understanding of your interests and the exploration of various career pathways. The information gathering process can include browsing departmental websites for the majors you are considering, meeting with advisors from academic departments in your areas of interest, talking with professors, visiting the Career Center, and interviewing people who work in the field you are considering. Students will have an opportunity to meet with one of the many career advisors trained to assist you in the exploration process. They may also participate in a variety of activities associated with any number of career clusters.
