Casting the Liberty Bond as a symbol of patriotic duty was vital to the success of loan drives. In Americans All!, Howard Chandler Christy unites various ethnic groups from French to Mexican, under the “Honor Roll.” The intent is to reach out to recent immigrants and encourage them to be patriotic Americans. The Honor Roll recognized Americans who had given substantial funds to the war effort. Columbia stands strong, heroically clutching and embracing the American flag in one hand while raising up a laurel wreath over the names of those who have risen to the task of unselfishly supporting the nation.
