Spring Commencement Parking and Transportation Details Announced

Miami University welcomes families and guests to campus the weekend of May 14-15, 2016 for the annual Spring Commencement exercises. Parking permits will not be required during this weekend, and no fees will be charged at campus parking garages and parking meters. Please be aware that the City of Oxford still enforces parking regulations, including parking meter limits, on city streets during Commencement weekend.

Details about parking on campus for commencement weekend, including transit shuttle information and route maps, can be found on the Miami University Commencement website.

West Millett Parking Restrictions Apr. 6-8, 13-15

Miami University hosts the Winter Guard International Color Guard World Championships April 7-8 and the Percussion World Championships on April 14-15 at Millett Hall requiring a parking restriction in the west Millett parking lot.

Signs will be posted in the parking lot with details of the restrictions.  Please remove vehicles by the times indicated below to avoid parking violations or towing at the owners’ expense. Continue reading

Parking Permits Required: Temporary permits available online at $10 per week

A permit is required to park in a University parking lot or on a University drive at all times. A student may obtain up to four weeks of temporary permit privileges each semester for his or her own vehicle only. Temporary permits may be purchased online or at the Parking and Transportation Services office; there is a $10 fee per week.

Thanksgiving Break 2015 Parking Guide

Parking Permits Required: Temporary permits available online at $10 per week

A permit is required to park in a University parking lot or on a University drive at all times. A student may obtain up to four weeks of temporary permit privileges each semester for his or her own vehicle only. Temporary permits may be purchased online through the Online Parking Services link or in the parking office, there is a $10 fee per week. If you purchase online, the receipt you print will serve as your temporary parking permit; place it on the driver’s side of your dashboard when parking your vehicle.

Parking Garages Now Accepting Cash and Credit for Parking

The access gates at both of Miami’s parking garages began operating this morning, Mon., Oct. 26.  Drivers may use their pre-purchased garage access card for entry and exit, or pay with cash or credit cards.

Cash payments may only be made at the new pay-on-foot stations located by the elevator on the entry level of each garage.  Your paid receipt will allow you to exit from the garage when inserted in the exit column.  Credit card payments may be made at the exit columns or pay-on-foot stations.

Parking garage gates will begin operation on 10/12.

Parking garage gates will begin operation on 10/12.

New parking access control equipment will begin operating in both campus parking garages on Miami’s Oxford campus Mon. morning, Oct. 12. The access equipment was replaced as part of a project to update the parking facilities with equipment that would be compliant with new credit card security standards which took effect Oct. 1.

Chestnut Fields Landscape Maintenance Requires Restrictions 9/21-25

The grass medians at the Chestnut Fields parking lot will be replanted with low-maintenance wildflowers during the week of Mon., Sep. 21 through Fri., Sep. 25.  To expedite the work and reduce the risk of damage to personally-owned vehicles, the parking spaces adjacent to the grass medians will be restricted during this time.
