Artist Statement: Planet full of suckers was inspired by another piece of mine titled Fate that played off of the thought of parallel universes. With it’s negative connotation, Planet Full of Suckers is to represent the ignorance in society. In recent years, I have gathered a strong liking to the aesthetic of collage work. Creating this piece, I wanted to build my composition in the same way using a different medium. With the intention to take a spin off of The common phrase “”man in the moon”” I made the moon a women’s face licking “”earth”” to battle the conception of misogyny. Today, it’s not just a man’s world.
