Artist Statement: Giving visual definition to those small catchy tunes that cycle around in your head and repeat over and over again until the sound distorts into something completely different is the intention of this piece. Each sound has a shape, and musicians take these shapes and create an audible art that grows and changes the more the musician refines the sounds. To reflect this process, I started with circles and let the ink bleed and change each time I returned to it like a tune that fades in and out of your memory.
