Concert 3: Coming Together

To open its 120th season, the Miami University Symphony Orchestra will host a concert honoring the victims of the Türkiye-Syria Earthquake on March 9th at 7:30 PM in Hall Auditorium. The event will involve contributions by the International Faculty and Staff Association of Miami including a fundraising bake sale in support of the earthquake victims, an informational presentation by Professor Ebru Duffield, and the performance of traditional Turkish music by Professors Mert Bal, Aise Zulal Sevkli, Mehmet Sevkli.

The concert is free and open to the public. MUSO will be performing Debussy’s Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun and Mendelssohn’s Symphony No. 4 “Italian” under the baton of Dr. Ricardo Averbach.
