LAMBDA is a free, in-person workshop developed at Miami University (Ohio). Our aim is to guide students of different academic levels in learning how to perform data analysis relevant for the biological sciences.

The different courses will cover introductions on statistical analysis, genetic analysis, or spatial analysis. This will be through the R and Python programming languages (NO PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED!).

Senior High School, Undergraduates, Graduate Students, Faculty and Staff are all invited to participate!

Previous students’ testimonials!

My expectations were met. I feel like I understand the building blocks of R and understand how to ask questions to get help with R.

I think the biggest thing for me personally is it made coding/digital modeling not scary whereas before I thought it was way more complicated, but now I have a starting ground and it’s not actually that bad.

My expectations were met beyond my wildest imagination. As someone who feared coding and anything coding-related before this workshop, today I’m confident with constant practice and more practice I will be better at this.
