This morning as I was drying my hair and thinking about what useful or interesting information I could blog about, I had an idea, which led to a question.
Years ago, when Gaskill was still a hall populated with MCIS staff (Miami Computing and Information Services), we had a monthly staff newsletter. One of the features was a list of who had a birthday that month. I wondered if the current IT Services staff would like to see posts announcing birthdays.
That led to my thinking about the Birthdays calendar in Google. It is an odd thing. For example, why do I have three instances of Bill Miley’s birthday (I am happy to have one notice, but three?) And, who is Mark Bell, and why is his birthday on my calendar?
So, great IT hive mind, does anyone actively use the Birthday’s calendar? Can you help me get my birthdays under control?

Thanks, Pete. I knew they were linked, but wasn’t sure how closely. Maybe I will be able to find out how Mark Bell is, too!
The birthdays are for your Google Contacts. Delete the triplicate contacts for Bill Miley!
