Electrical work requires power shut-down 2/27

Hoyt Hall will experience a power shutdown of the

LV-1 (Main Lighting and Receptacle Feed)

When: Tuesday, 2/27 between 5 and 7 pm

What should you expect?
  • Power to most of the lights and electric receptacles in Hoyt will be shut down.
  • Elevators should work but the lights in them may not. Use the stairs.
  • The Data Center and emergency building power will NOT be affected.
  • Shut down and unplug all electronics and appliances during this period to avoid possible damage.
On a side note:
A concrete pad located in the basement of Hoyt will be removed Thursday 2/22 or Friday 2/23. This will require the use of a jackhammer and may be accompanied by “a little noise”.
If you have questions about either the shutdown or the pad removal, Dave Beitz is your guy.
