This Thursday, February 1, is World Hijab Day, and those of us from the Diversity Committee wanted to help get the word out!
The Miami Women’s Center, in conjunction with International Student & Scholar Services, is hosting its second annual celebration on the Slant Walk inside Armstrong Student Center from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. You’ll get the chance to meet and engage with Muslim women, as well as try on a hijab if you’d like.
In addition, on Thursday evening, from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm in Shideler Hall 0032, the group is hosting a panel discussion focused on “Dispelling the Myths About Women and the Hijab.”
