CPAC Meeting 1/11/18

Miami University

CPAC (Classified Personnel Advisory Committee) met for the first time in 2018 on Thursday.  We began the meeting with special guest, Karen Wilson, from the Benefits department presenting a new program that Miami is offering its employees and family.  The IMPACT Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

This program offers assistance to folks in many areas: Coaching services, Legal Assistance, Identity Theft Prevention and Recovery, Financial Services, Counseling, etc.  Check out the site!  It is free assistance to Miami employees and family.  Once you go to the site, click on “Go to Member Login” then enter “Miamioh” for the username and hit sign in.  This takes you to the part of the site that is tailored for Miami.

Heather from HR also gave an update announcing the minimum wage increase to $8.30 per hour.  She also indicated that the W-2’s should be out by the end of the month.  Another thing that was mentioned is that Skillport is in the process of improving their website focusing on a target based user login.  They are also including a section on diversity & inclusion.

In addition to the updates the CPAC group discussed plans for the SATSS Conference coming up on May 24, 2018.  Classified staff, mark your calendars to attend now!

Next CPAC meeting is scheduled for Feb. 8.
