Housing and Meals

The email below was sent to all on-campus residents as a reminder of when the residence halls close and the ability to request extended stay housing beyond May 17.

Dear Resident,

As the end of spring semester approaches, please remember that halls officially close at 7:00pm on Friday, May 17. It is important that you coordinate your plans to ensure that you are able to move out of your room by Friday, May 17 at 7:00pm.

We understand that some students may have unique needs to stay beyond hall closing. If you have a need to remain on campus, you must submit a request for extended stay housing on the housing portal (www.miamioh.edu/housingcontract) prior to hall closing. You must explain your need to remain on campus in the comments section of the form.  All requests will be reviewed, and you will be notified by email if your request is approved or denied. We encourage students to sign up early to save on the nightly charge. The charge for Friday, May 17 is waived for students who sign up prior to Wednesday, May 15 at 11:59pm. You will be billed at sign-up but a credit will be issued before the end of finals. Students who sign up after May 15 or students who attempt to remain in the room after Friday, May 17 at 7:00pm without prior approval will be charged $55 per night.
