The email below was sent to all residence hall residents regarding the ability to sign up for spring break housing.
As Spring Break approaches, remember that residence halls officially close at 7:00pm on Friday, March 22, and will reopen at 9:00am on Sunday, March 31.
We understand that some students may need to stay in their room during some portion of the time when halls are closed. Break housing is provided for students who have a need to remain on campus. There is a nightly charge for each night you stay during the break. You can view the daily rates on our website (www.miamioh.edu/Housing).
If you have a need to remain on campus during any part of the break, you must submit a request online at www.miamioh.edu/housingcontract. You will be notified by email if your request is approved. Please be sure to include comments to explain your need to remain on campus.
The charge for Friday, March 22 will be waived for students who sign up prior to Wednesday, March 20 at 11:59pm. However, the charge for Friday night is not waived for students who sign-up after the Wednesday deadline.
If you plan to return to your room before halls re-open on Sunday, March 31 at 9:00am, you must sign up for break housing and will be billed the daily rate. There is an additional charge of $55 per day for students who stay without properly registering through the housing portal.
