The email below was sent to all first year students regarding the mandatory online fire safety training they are required to complete.
Dear Student,
You have been assigned to complete Miami University’s Residence Hall Fire Safety Program, if you have not done so already. Completion of this program is required for all First-Year students.
This program takes place within Miami’s Learning Management System called Canvas, which you use for your other Miami classes.
WHAT IS CANVAS?
Canvas is an easy-to-use, cloud-based learning management system (LMS) that connects all the digital tools and resources professors use in one simple place. It integrates seamlessly with hundreds of apps, empowering professors and students with countless tools to make teaching and learning easier.
HOW DO I ACCESS CANVAS AND THE FIRE SAFETY PROGRAM?
Visit http://miamioh.edu/canvas to log in and to get instructions on how to use Canvas.
On the left side of the screen you should see a large, red login button. Clicking that button will take you to a login page, where you will use your Miami Unique ID and Password to get into the system.
On the Canvas landing page, click the Courses tab at the top of the screen and choose Fire Safety Training. If you have any questions or issues while taking the training, email [email protected] for assistance.
